The Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission is tasked with enforcing the provisions of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) and the Cherokee Nation Gaming Ordinance, as codified in Title 4 of the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated. Its primary responsibility is to regulate and oversee all gaming activities within the jurisdiction of the Cherokee Nation, ensuring that such operations are conducted with integrity, fairness, and transparency. Additionally, the Commission is committed to safeguarding gaming enterprises from the influence of organized crime and other corrupt elements, thereby upholding the credibility and security of tribal gaming.
